Welcome

Thank you for stopping by and reading this blog. You might be asking yoruself, what's the purpose of the particular blog? Well, there are some incredible stories of people's lives being changed because of God working and we want to recored them and share them with others. Most of the stories will be about students that attend SWITCH at LifeChurch.tv/Edmond Campus. Other stories will be about the adults who lead the students. The goal of this blog is to inspire others about what God is doing and encourage everyone to live actively for Christ.

Free Baby Sitting

Posted by Edmond SWITCH

It's almost Valentines Day and a parents hardest task is not finding something to wear, a place to eat, or what movie to watch. It is finding a babysitter to watch the kids. This year there is a SWITCH student who is volunteering to babysit kids for free!!! That's impressive but what's even better is that any money that is given to her will go directly to a charity supporting Haiti. This students choice to do this isn't a direct result from one single event. Instead it is the constant modeling set before her by her parents and SWITCH leader. It will be very exciting to see all the peoples lives that will be impacted by this act of service. Do you serve others?

I'll pray but it won't be a good one.

That was the comment that one student said before praying at the end of his SWITCHgroup. Every Wednesday night, at the end of the SWITCHgroup, for the past 5 months, the SWITCHgroup leader would ask for prayer request and if anyone would like to pray. Every week no one wanted to pray, until this past week. A student volunteered to pray and they prefaced with "I'll pray but it won't be a good one." This student's perspective was that prayer had to be a certain way and that if it wasn't then it wouldn't be a good prayer. The student prayed, but more exciting is that this student took a step spiritually that they had never taken before. They prayed out loud in front of their peers. That is a huge step. What step do you need to take spiritually that you haven't?

Do you hear the Holy Spirit?

This past Wednesday at SWITCH there was a 6th grade student who shared in his SWITCHgroup that he had heard from the Holy Spirit. He then explained to that the Holy Spirit told him to write down everything He was telling him, word for word. This next week the student will be bringing the paper to SWITCH to share it with others. What is surprising isn't that this was a 6th grade guy but that he knew it was the Holy Spirit speaking to him. That comes from a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Do you hear the Holy Spirit speaking to you?
